Capulin RV Park Campground Review

Capulin RV Park is a perfect place to stay while visiting northeastern New Mexico and Capulin Volcano National Monument! It is quite the rural area, so enjoy peace and quiet while soaking in the vast uninhabited views!

Amenities at Capulin RV Park:

Although Capulin RV Park is a fairly small RV park, it still has some pretty nice amenities.  Besides the full-hookups with 50/30/20 amp service at a steal of a price, it has a pretty clean bathroom complete with showers. There is also a laundry facility that washed and dried our clothes without any issues whatsoever.

The views are absolutely wonderful as you can see from our pictures above. Capulin Volcano National Monument is only a 7 minute drive north of the campground and it is definitely a must see.

Discounts:

None that I am aware of, but it is already a fairly cheap rate and this is really the best/only option to stay at while visiting Capulin Volcano National Monument.

Noise Level:

Minus a few semi trucks passing through the area during the night, Capulin RV Park is super quiet and we had no issues with noise whatsoever. Enjoy a peaceful night or in our case, a peaceful week at this campground.

Dog Friendly at Capulin RV Park?

You betcha! There isn’t a ton of room to walk the pup around, but you can always take the dog for a walk around town if your dog needs a tad more exercise. There is an open area near the horses where you can take your dog to relieve itself and the horses seem to be pretty friendly as well. Blaze even touched noses with one.

Big Rig Friendly?

We saw both some decent sized Class As and 5th wheels parking at this RV park during our stay. I feel like we did stick out a little bit into the middle of the road, but no one seemed to have any issues getting around us.

Cell Signal and Wifi:

Both AT&T and Verizon weren’t SUPER strong in this area, but they were strong enough in order for us to work. As I mentioned in the video at the top of this post, Verizon was a bit strong but not by much.

Things to Do in the Area:

Capulin Volcano National Monument is the obvious must see in the area, but there are also a few museums you can check out in nearby towns. There is a small country store in the town of Capulin as well I recommend on checking out to see some specific gifts related to the local area.
