Fall Creek Falls

Alright dudes and dudettes, Fall Creek Falls State Park should really be a National Park. There I said it. The views and hiking you get to experience at this state park are truly unique and magnificent. It is small compared to Yosemite or Rocky Mountain National Park, but it is still totally worth it.

The first trail we took was going down to see Fall Creek Falls. Go figure right? Let me tell you all, this is not just a little jaunt even though it is labeled as .35 miles. If you are out of shape like I was when we hit this up, you will be sucking in air and wishing someone would throw a rope down to you to pull you back up.

Scenic Loop Road

After we hit up our first dinky trail we decided we needed a breather and hit the scenic road that surrounds the park called, you guessed it, scenic park road.

There are some little hiking trails that leach off this road, but primarily this road is meant to park along the side and soak up all the amazing views this park has to offer.

Piney Falls Overlook

Speaking of one of those little side trails, check out these photos (above) that Deanna took while trying to find Piney Falls Overlook. In that same parking area you can swing the opposite direction and find a sweet suspension bridge too. And boy is that bridge suspendy. I wouldn’t hit that thing up after eating a large meal.
