Amenities:

Mill Point RV Park in central Illinois is fairly basic as far as amenities go. It does have 2 individual bathhouses that are kept fairly clean and each have their own shower and toilet in them. Our site had 50, 30, and 20 amp hookups along with sewer, so we had a fairly comfortable stay. I’m not sure if the electric was hooked up properly, but the 20amp connection actually turned on our 30amp plug. That was a bit odd.

The sites were all gravel, but seemed to be well kept and mostly level.

This campground also has cabins you can rent out. Check out more information on their website here: Click Here

Discounts:

This campground takes both passport america and good sam members.

Noise Level:

During most of the week that we stayed here the noise level was kept down to a minimum. There is always a chance of some rowdy folks disturbing others, but the only time we heard shouting was due to a football game they were watching haha.

Dog Friendly?

This park is very dog friendly with zero restrictions that I am aware of. Blaze had a fun time wondering around this park and he was able to come to the beach area with us as well.

Big Rig Friendly?

Yes. We met some other full-time RVers with a triple axle 5th wheel heading through the area, so I don’t think you will have any issues if you have a 40+ ft rig.

Cell Signal:

If you are digital nomads like we are, cell signal is crucial. Both AT&T and Verizon were producing great signal and we were both able to work easily without any issues.

Things to Do in the Area:

Obviously one of our favorite things to do while traveling around the country is exploring the outdoors. Almost every location we have been to offers some sort of park or trail system we can go adventure on. A few areas we tried out were Jubilee College State Park and also Detweiller Park near Peoria.

There are plenty of other places to go explore in the area,  including some nice dining and other recreation areas. If you enjoy taking your boat along with you, definitely check out the nearby lakes!
