RV Awning LED Light Strip Install

Hey All!

Made a short little tutorial how I replaced our water damaged LED light strip on our travel trailer. Turns out the install really isn’t all that tricky besides trying to get the dang thing to stick on the plastic track. Check out our video with the steps I used for the RV Awning LED Light Strip Install.



There are a few videos out there I used to help me out on the install but there is plenty of information out there.

Main thing to note is that there are different grades of waterproof protection. The higher the IP rating the better the waterproof. From what I read online you should at least have IP65…which can withstand water jets…whatever that means 🙂

Update (7-1-18):

Our IP65 light strip only lasted us 2 years. We just ordered an IP68 light strip that was twice the cost, but definitely looks more weather proof. We will give you a long term review eventually. 🙂
